  1. You did a very great work I learn a lot from your video, thanks

    1. You’re welcome.

  2. Very good demonstration. which is the BMS board used ? can you please give detail

    1. BMS Work principle: Single-cell lithium battery reaches 4.2V off charge MOSFET, Discharge MOSFET is working properly.
Single cell lithium battery is below 2.8V and the discharge MOSFET is off,Charge MOSFET is working properly.
Single cell lithium battery reaches 4.15V start resistor shunt, lithium battery charging current will be reduced.

  3. Hello friend, i have watching your videos, i have a doubt: the UPS system , send 14,5 volt to the battery constantly because its designed for lead acid batteries , when you put your li ion pack, the BMS detect it and shuts down the battery , how you solve this problem?!
Another: why do you have to put an external 12v power supply?!

    1. Detection of more than 12.6V BMS will shut off the input current and the output current is normal. The UPS itself cannot fill the lithium battery and it takes a very long time to fully charge the battery. The external power supply is a charger to speed up the charging time.

  4. ok , but if i dont want to install the external power supply on the ups, the battery and bms will still work fine (dispite of the charging time)

      1. Oh I came here with the same question. but for a car :D, so BMS will charge the pack, despite the input voltage will be I guess 14.4 ?

        1. If any of the batteries reach 4.2V, the battery pack Charging MOSFET will turn off.

    1. Usa un bms 4s de lifepo4 , ademas tus baterías normales estaran con una carga storage ,que no reducira su capacidad al estar siempre al 100%de carga

      1. Yes! lifepo4 is perfectly compatible.

  5. How about 12v valence batteries

    1. I did not understand.

  6. what BMS to use?

  7. Hey, nice tutorial. I was wondering if you did any modifications to UPS itself to lower the cutoff discharge limit? For Lead acid its much higher that for Li ion and I’m looking for ways to make it lower to match at least 10% charge level on Li Ion pack.
